This is a DVD workshop that looks at the process of character design.
The programme is quite advanced,
However there were defiantly tips and tricks to be learned.

Initial Sketches to then be developed in Photoshop. To begin the tutor used black and white to create gradient and depth.
Refining the characters features, such as the eyes.
Scratching into the image with a small paint brush, and at a later point, softening the brush by using tools such as transparency, eraser, blur.
Finally, once happy with the face of the character, colour can be added !
And not forgetting to use grids, which you can see are very helpful to guide you when animating your character at a different angle.
